  1. Well, they ARE responding to complaints about it rather quickly. Not that it matters that much due to the Alpha game state or its impact on accounts. Even giving simultaneous access both in-game and at the store will not eliminate the account/insurance binding advantage unless they eliminate that as well. But I do not see that happening.
  2. It is funny they have yet to scratch the surface of kits when comes to that design. What until they build kits that allow you do stuff like eliminating the through-deck flight deck. I could see a forward, railgun, laser beam, torpedo, ballistic cannot for the front, a through deck cargo bay, a middle deck cargo bay that eliminates the dedicated hangar bay and replaces it with a cargo elevator that can also hold cargo. A kit that would allow you to eliminate the briefing room and replace it with an engineering component room. or a kit that replaces the spinal mount with a size 9 turret.
  3. It is not like it will make a difference in the sales of either blades or kits. Because purchases will have one thing going for them that in-game purchases will never have. They are IN your Account and most likely will be able to be bound to your ship, unlike in-game purchases. If your ship is destroyed, you are going to have to buy upgraded insurance and expect increased recall time to get it back on a custom ship. Which most likely will not be an issue with purchases. I will admit i do not see the issue of the couple of month delay, since the game IS still in alpha. Nothing happening how matters in the end. The game that will be released is going to be a LOT different than the game you are playing now. Even for 1.0 Expect a LOT more kits for both the Idris and the Javelin, and probably the Kraken as well, since that is how they have opted for true player customization on larger ships.
  4. When was the last time that ANY Fed LE agency faced budget cuts, let alone staff layoffs? Up until Trump, they were immune to everything. That being said it has been a long time since layoffs for nonprobationary employees. Although by forcing a Return to Work and ending remote work, employees are finding out how unpleasant working in a Fed office building is, something that old timers know very well. That to mention for the cheaters, this is an utter nightmare that they will flee as fast as they can. And no, I am not saying that a lot are cheating per se, other than illegally holding more than one job. Heck, I the ones holding a second job even realize that there are restrictions upon holding a second job.
  5. There are serious problems in the Executive Branch, when you have an entire branch office of he FBI (SDNY) that thinks it can disobey orders from BOTH the FBI Director and the Attorney General of the United States and you have the HR Departments of who departments and agencies who tell employees that they can disobey orders from the white house, in regards to seeing if they are even alive you have serious problem. That was the purpose of the whole tell us what you did this week email. TO see who had even opened up their work account and checked their email. Evidently it is supposedly quite common for fed workers to buy devices that keep the keyboard timer from logging them out of their work accounts.
  6. Remember while they use computers, they have never gone through the restructuring that IT has forced upon the private sector. by way of example here is fed.gov civil service staffing levels since 1940 to 2014. https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/data-analysis-documentation/federal-employment-reports/historical-tables/executive-branch-civilian-employment-since-1940?trk=public_post_comment-text 2023 numbers sort of https://ourpublicservice.org/fed-figures/a-profile-of-the-2023-federal-workforce/ I will also not that the cuts do not mean a reduction of services. In fact they plan on increasing customer service. They are planning on abolishing the USPS independence and make it part of the Dept of Commerce. They will not only be delivering the mail, but will also be doing the census and perform customer service functions such as delivering paperwork that you need to fill out to your door and picking it up and the first line of defense in regards to social ssecurity, medicare and welfare fraud detection. If they stop seeing a senior citizen at an address but are still delivering checks they will call for a welfare check. https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/government/lutnick-suggests-usps-runs-the-census-to-save-commerce-department-40-billion/ar-AA1zVgY5
  7. 77,000+/- voluntary resignation https://www.newsnationnow.com/politics/75000-federal-workers-trump-buyout/ 200,000 +/- probationary employees https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/feb/14/federal-worker-layoffs-trump-musk 2+ million civil service employees https://ourpublicservice.org/fed-figures/a-profile-of-the-2023-federal-workforce/ So as of today Trump has reduced federal employment by roughly 13.75% Medium compensation for them is $143,643 for a total savings of about $40 billion. They have also identified up to $521 billion in fraud the sad thing is that GAO knew about the fraud and Congress refused to do anything about it. https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/02/memo-to-press-hundreds-of-dollars-are-fraudulently-spent-every-year/ That above is a signification piece of thr federal deficit on its own. Remember line item in our federal deficit is interest on the debt. Getting it back down to what it was in 2020 snd roughly $600-$800 billion of our deficit disappears since most of our debt is short term financed.
  8. It's not going to turn into anything substantial. It is basically the poor agreeing to sell to each other in each other's currencies, which will force their trade into balance. They are not going to like that. And before anyone mentions China, while the foreign press has not mentioned it China is basically in full-blown meltdown mode and is suffering a commercial, housing and deflationary collapse in slow motion.
  9. It looks they they are getting close to being able to build one. https://www.riazor.org/news/warp-drive-faster-than-light-engine/2685/
  10. Snicker you can tell that Salty Mike has not military experience. https://youtu.be/NyuCHXk22WE?si=3Ww8lkTOEdMuxWQw
  11. https://youtu.be/Vvimc3d3d_I?si=nhBX7o7qOTa8Kvct Now the king ship is both absurd and has been nurfed for the demo. Not sure how that ship will compare to what we have to do in game. Freebie out there. Kingship has 8 capital ship shield emitter and 11 subcapital ship shield emitters. Not going to say anything about the discrepancy in armament from specifications to what is shown and fires in the video.
  12. They have started the process of updating the Carack in the PTU. Although it us clear they are not close to done. https://youtu.be/JmQdzQQDA78?si=UnEhitth6yqfuuKv
  13. While I have had medical and family issues that have tied me up for most of the year I DO recommend taking part in the training, if for no other reason than to have one on one time with Org officers so you can get a feel for where the Org is on things.
  14. My only problem with the starlancer max is that the vehicle parking area should have had a cargo grid installed. but someone probably argued that would have thrown off game balance. The whole game balance issue with certain vehicles is rather stupid since they have already stated that we will have five levels we can upgrade vehicles to, so any modifications other than hard mount size is idiotic at best.
  15. Everything presented on day two changes literally EVERYTHING about the game, in important ways that will effect everything.
  16. had to relocate my system in the house until my wife's cousin can get outside housing, so I am currently running on wifi. Now that my medical schedule is also freeing up I will try to log in more to improve by skills before that becomes important.
  17. I am pretty sure the morphing npc was was put in just to show that it was not a video and instead that they were using the game engine to run the prolog and you could actually fail the prolog.
  18. I hope you are safe and that your loses are minimal.
  19. Let's try this again since evidently my last post on it got eaten. So far I have only seen one mention of this and it is a major change in the PTU update for 4.0 in 3.24.2, unless they have yanked it back out. While I am happy they are finally getting around to doing the needed changes their timing in regards to when they are doing it is abysmal. They need to stop doing so many changes at once ESPECIALLY when things like Master Modes and nerfing certain ships to "fixes" that they made to how turrets work go into effect. ESPECIALLY since the changes to the Corsair are so idiotic, they need to handle the changes the same way for all ships, and picking two different solutions for the Redeemer and Corsair makes no sense. Especially since the Corsair solution SHOULD also apply to the Constellation classes as well but will not be applied to the Constellation classes. Here are the changes to PTU components. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlraa3izmFM&t=23s And the Erkul link. https://www.erkul.games/ptu/calculator
  20. Evidently 3.24.2 is not a normal patch but is a pre 4.0 patch and they are starting to switch base code over for 4.0 code. Hopefully that will mean when it does drop that 4.0 will be less eventful than a normal major star citizen upgrade patch. https://youtu.be/bFMUaBpIDe0?si=_HPyQAEiSfFxiq89
  21. Important update on hangars and station cargo decks. https://youtu.be/3a6av7BoNTw?si=FW7ha4mI6eIW2yP5
  22. Well it had to happen because certain systems would have become uninhabitable or uneconomical for habitation that had colonies (The Cano system for one). not to mention game Lore was in violation of the prior jump gate size restrictions. They had the Vanduul taking out a Javelin in the system of Caliban, where it could not have been under the previous system.
  23. Well, they threw out the existing animations for Jump transit AND jump gate sizes for permanent gates. All permanent gates are now Capital ship-rated gates. Only temporary gates are size-limited and for the most part all of the twists and turns and obstacles will be reserved for temporary gates. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw0sHcLGP6k&t=1184s
  24. Pretty much. Which is one reason why that there needs to be a lot more versions of the Cutlass. Do to its design it is easily converted into other designs. Such as a boarding ship a refueled (NOT a refiner, just has extra tanks and two drones to refuel other ships). a torpedo bomber a conventional bomber a scout a gunship and a rambler version at the minimum Hell I would argue that later on there needs to be a somewhat more expensive Mk2 Cutlass Black that fixes the obvious flaws in its design which are readily fixable.
  25. Welcome
