  8. I will approach you guys as a mercenary looking for work, and I will keep my anomalous wormhole past as a secret and will reveal it to people my character develops trusts with. And of course I will never take off my helmet in public.
  9. A mandalorian who got sucked into an anomalous wormhole during a battle againts The Empire over Concordia and found himself in Star Citizen verse and met you guys. Looking for adaptation, finding new purposes and new battles. This is the way.
  10. What will you roleplay as?
  11. It is roleplay! I love roleplaying, in highscool I was in theater club and we would skip classes to reherse out plays, we would work hard for a year and put out really good well organized theater shows at the end of year. Before that too , Skyrim was one of the first games I played and loved deeply very much. Maybe you can call me crazy, but I like immersing myself deep into the role, with headphones on, with pure focus just become the role and never infringe it never break it. It gives me so much joy to go on adventures like this, with this level of immersion and intense focus on role and character development and sentimentality behind it. That's why I instantly fell in love with this immersive (Or HighRP as they call it) roleplay multiplayer server called NoPixel for GTA. When I found out about it which was relatively recently last year, I've never played or watch GTA because I was never really interested in it. One day just out of curiosuty I wanted to just for once watch a GTA streamer. I wondered "GTA is always among most viewed games on Twitch, what are these people even watching." And by just sheer dumb luck, among thousands of GTA streamers I clicked on one of the best gta roleplay streamers. Which I've realzied he was one of the best much later when I tried other streamers. The level of roleplay, the focus, dedication, amount of effort put into the roles was on another level kind of which I have never seen. Never seen anyone else other than me do at least. The name of this streamer was Peppo and he was roleplaying as a new up and coming detective named Miguel that everyone refered to as Coyote. Here I can write long paragraphs detailing the intricasies of what I refer to when I say " level of roleplay, the focus, dedication, amount of effort" but I don't know who would want to read that and it's better if you watch his streams of murder investigations as roleplaying Coyote than me just writing it all here to you. And the best part was the server infrastructure supporting this highly immersive roleplay. Gameplay accomodates and enables a lot of it. For instance in game you can talk and send messages to others and all of it is logged in game including contents of messages time and location of the cell when it was sent. In game there are lawyers, prosecutors, judges and you need subpenas to access phone records and for that you need credible suspicion and evidence. And this is barely scratching the surface. And this is exactly what I'll be looking for in Star Citizen, just pure rp and that requires persistence and stability. Two things Star Citizen is desperately lacking right now naturally until v1.0 is released. That's why I'm not around much in game and have never been throughout development so far. Sometimes once every few months I log in, check what's new and delete again. Here are some of Peppo's streams and videos about his roleplay scenes: This one about a new role Edgar: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2463151503?t=0h17m37s There are also a lot of other really good rp players. And not everyone streams but there are a lot of good options if you look at twitch streams.
  12. Well, they ARE responding to complaints about it rather quickly. Not that it matters that much due to the Alpha game state or its impact on accounts. Even giving simultaneous access both in-game and at the store will not eliminate the account/insurance binding advantage unless they eliminate that as well. But I do not see that happening.
  13. We can only hope. In a way we enabled this as well. It's a delecate balance. In one hand community wants to fund and celebrate Star Citizen on the other hand there are unspoken boundaries on this funding model that are vague.
  14. It is funny they have yet to scratch the surface of kits when comes to that design. What until they build kits that allow you do stuff like eliminating the through-deck flight deck. I could see a forward, railgun, laser beam, torpedo, ballistic cannot for the front, a through deck cargo bay, a middle deck cargo bay that eliminates the dedicated hangar bay and replaces it with a cargo elevator that can also hold cargo. A kit that would allow you to eliminate the briefing room and replace it with an engineering component room. or a kit that replaces the spinal mount with a size 9 turret.
  15. It is not like it will make a difference in the sales of either blades or kits. Because purchases will have one thing going for them that in-game purchases will never have. They are IN your Account and most likely will be able to be bound to your ship, unlike in-game purchases. If your ship is destroyed, you are going to have to buy upgraded insurance and expect increased recall time to get it back on a custom ship. Which most likely will not be an issue with purchases. I will admit i do not see the issue of the couple of month delay, since the game IS still in alpha. Nothing happening how matters in the end. The game that will be released is going to be a LOT different than the game you are playing now. Even for 1.0 Expect a LOT more kits for both the Idris and the Javelin, and probably the Kraken as well, since that is how they have opted for true player customization on larger ships.
  16. Sigh. Ya this could've been done better. Blades give you minimal adjustment to your overall points to P/Y/R , speed etc. Regardless of how insignificant, IMO, ATM, they are; I'd like to see blades and future buffs to ships like this in game from here on out. I 80% agree with you, but this isn't enough to make me give up on CIG. And I'm not saying that out of sunken cost fallacy, etc. (I'm Legatus Navium 😬) CIG is still our best bet to get a game like this made, I think the Idris release and the current state of the game is miles better than it was even 3 years ago and they though they could try it, they did, it didn't hit like they though it would lol. I think they will make a community conscious correction soon, and whoever made the decision to monetize blades, I'm hope got a wake up call/demotion.
  17. The problem with blades, in my humble opinion had nothing to do with the blades. It's the implcations and the mentality behind that blade sale. It's the whole thing, whole direction, whole turn to the dark side CIG has been taking for years that culminated in the blades. At first slowly then more and more aggresively thing have been... getting weirder and weirder. So I've shared my feelings in a post at Spectrum. Here it is, it quickly got 200+ upvotes for what it's worth. At least it's good to see that reaction has been mostly unified on this. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/3/thread/it-didn-t-have-to-be-this-way-1 (BTW: friendly reminder that my spectum name is different because I've changed it and notified Shawkorr about it when it happened, just incase you wonder why it's different.)
  18. "Explore the devastating potential of the highly anticipated Idris-P and its additional K and T kits that let you customize and optimize your loadout. "
  19. Oh they do a good job of making it look super cool. No stubborn elevator doors or homicidal ladders in this video!
  20. I am one of the six people who has a Herald. Happy to learn the storage is under the bed!
  21. Nomad has storage! That ship is the best. This is great detail, thanks for sharing!
  22. Thanks for the update!
  23. It does look pretty good. I like that you can fit 2 ships in it.
