Because it is not really a gunship it is an outer ada platform, and both an Idris or Javelin should have at least 6 of them as escorts during combat missions with the hammerheads maintaining sufficient spacing from the ship they are escorting so that neither the escortee nor the escort ships can harm each other with their guns.
