  1. Is it funny, or just cruel? Considering they ripped that entire portion of the game out, and has been one of the biggest sources of protest since. And then, at the bottom of the real link... Er, yeah, new... Not at all like an entire profession of the game 18 months ago...
  2. LOL, um, not sure what to say about that.....
  3. Man, Astrus, I may have to whoop your *butt* for those kinds of comments :P FF is great for web developers, it's IE that's the absolute PITA. I generally use Opera anyway, but that's a bit different and seems to rub more people the wrong way. Still, FF nicked tabs from it, amoung other things ;) Some cool skins for both FF and Opera :)
  4. Heh, a bit earlier I saw an Alliance person in a guild called Sanctuary on our server too.
  5. Well over a year after they broke the game, yes, too late. I wonder what it'd of been like if they'ed launched NGE on seperate sevrers and run it in parallel with the existing CU servers and seen what the populations were like.... I bet that nearly 18 months later the NGE servers would've been dead.
  6. There are 24 hours in 1 day, 24-1=23 :o
  7. ROFL, see, I read that completely wrong, meh, it was 1am, not surprised :P Sorry, heh.
  8. Hey Kanos, good to see ya dude. yeah, am on WoW too, went by the Wanderhome forums a week or so ago, and it seemed more and more people I thought were alright have left. I'm not expecting to go back. I am vaguely interested in seeing what happened with Spy (if anything yet!), but then I keep reminding myself how buggy the game was, and how unbuggy WoW is generally....

    Moo...

    MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  10. Heh, if you've got broadband, it's not a bad thing to get. It will help make your machine a certain amount mroe secure, as there won't be quite just a big security hole in the form of IE6. Carry on using Firefox or whatever, but I'd still recommend upgrading IE.
  11. Ah Firefox has it's issues, believe me. Though if you're a relatively casual web surfer, you're less likely to come across it's problems. being a web developer, I tend to hammer them pretty hard :) I tend to recommend Firefox to those familiar with IE, instead of Opera. Opera is my favourite, and I find it annyoing using anything else, it's also amusing to see Firefox copying a lot of it's features, tabs, mouse gestures, alsorts of other stuff. But Opera is quite a different experience to IE, while Firefox is much more similar. On top of everything, if you use Opera or Firefox, you'll have less need (though still wise to have them) for spyware blockers and Anti Virus software, as you're removing one of the big ways they get onto your machine. IE7 is a big improvement from IE6 though, and I'm sure most people who really want to stick with IE, or don't get on with other browsers, would be better off with IE7. Just don't expect it to be completely protected against everything, you still need to be careful what you click on and what you open.
  12. They'll never fix all the problems Shaw ;) I was getting frustrated today as I was building a new site and it screwed something up that they still haven't fixed from IE6, grrrr! I'd certainly recommend people use Firefox or even Opera (from norway ;)) instead :P
  13. Even with the introduction of the Officer Expertise, I've still lost interest in playing SWG right now. I think with Kovac, most of the stuff I did was PVP, and to be honest, with some of the other people PVPing, the fun drained out of it. And a few places like HK aside, PvE seems too easy with any kind of group. Can kill everything in a PvE bases in about 2 minutes, and then you just sit and wait for the various terms to be done, then sit outside for 10 mins waiting for it to blow.... And of course my girlfriend and some of her friends got WoW, so I had to get it, and after finding aspects of it annoying to start with, I'm enjoying it now. Grinding up 3 seperate characters, not having to deal with bugs, different quest lines, it's fun. I'm not sure about the smallish amounts of PVP I have done yet, I have enjoyed the big epic battles in SWG, that I've not seen/heard of in WoW. Guessing with the battle grounds you don't get it SWG style so much. Plus by all accounts, across all Europe servers there's a huge Alliance bias. So as I get higher, I may find I miss some of the SWG pvp :) <for people who know wow> I was really not enjoying my Paladin to start with, but after doing a couple of deadmine runs, once acting as a tank, but also performing a couple of critical rez's, and once as the primary healer, I'm finding it a lot more interesting. Still prefer my hunter I think, but the Paladin and Warrior are about evens now :) </for people who know wow> So anyway, I doubt you'll see much of me in SWG for a bit. I'm thinking about whether to cancel payments for the time being, not for ever, but for a few months. not decided yet. If my alts legacy quest weren't bugged too early for him to do much else, I'd probably be grinding him up. But as he can't do a lot, it leaves me with either not playing on WH, or finding stuff to do on Kovac. Which I have little motivation for. So anyway, hey to everyone, please pass it on to anyone in OoL or old RGU members if they ask. I don't fancy posting something on the WH forums and feeding TSC's desire for dragging everything down to the mental level of 5 yr olds. If anyone else plays WoW in Europe, I'm on Outland, Kovac (Human Paladin), Jaraim (Dwarf Hunter), Leonatos (Human Warrior). Possibly starting a Druid sometime :P
  14. Yeah, there's been lots of feedback about the smuggler expertise from the guy developing it. None what so ever about the officer expertise though :( Unsurprisingly, everyone else wants the smuggler dev to do their profession as well. It's a classic example of where SOE have slipped up, you can see him responding to comments in the thread saying things like "that's a good idea, I'll go away and look into it", or "that won't work because..." and therefore giving people a decent answer on something, so they don't keep banging on about something that can't happen. By all accounts the smuggler expertise is pretty much sorted, just a case of crossing the t's and dotting the i's, hopefully it'll work really well, and be a good proof of concept for the idea of actually communicating with the community  Understandably the Officer forum is full of complaints considering there's been barely any mention of officer expertise at all, let alone communication about what it will involve.

    Muffins

Yeay for Shaw :P Mocha indeed...... You'll be on about Latte's next roarrr
  16. Had some lovely Blueberry muffins over the weekend, ended up discussing whether blueberry muffins owned choc chip muffins. I said yes, what do you lot think? :P
  17. It's meant to be smuggler and officer next, with traders in chap 4, then spy and I think entertainer chap 5 and medic and commando last. Not entirely sure about chapters 5 and 6, but there's something on the forums somewhere giving the timelines.
