Ok, so I was strolling thru a star port in Tyrena and I accidently flipped across a relic in the code, or is it where Jimmy Hoffa is buried?
Kinda cool, eh? Now you can read the many items in SWG including readouts on monitors and such. If you get bored like that sometimes.
Oh, and if you want the TrueType Font: Aurabesh Font -- Don't worry, it's free....
So, are the devs saying that Jimmy Hoffa was buried on Corellia under a starport? Only those that did the deed will ever know....
...and just when i thought i had hit the top of the 'GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK' meter...someone comes along and raises it again.
Failed I have...Into Exile I must go.... :P
Actually....I wonder what kind of other things are inscribed on the other signs across the galaxy! :o

Looks good to me!!!
I'm inclinded to agree that we don't place trainers. Perhaps we could do up a list of trainers in other cities on Talus (and other planets) and keep that posted on the website? I am willing to compose a list of that (if nobody else wants to). And maybe have a list of guildies who plan on keeping their templates and would be willing to be 'designated trainers' for a particular tree?
No need to make a list. There is a nice Trainer Finder thats a great tool to find Trainers in game that everyone can use.
This Link is also in our Informational Resources Area. As far as having designated trainers i think that asking in guildchat, and trying to find a PC trainer that way would suffice.

Finished my finals so things will finally be slow around here. I'm working on scrounging 15 bucks together so I can fire TV back up and uhhhh.. yeah- we're fine here, everythings fine. How are you?
future plans! Mine like a mofo cause thats my thing and once again spam the guild channel with my whitty anecdotal humor and observations. Oh yeah. Good times, classic TV oldies like "Hey, that's big" or " I'm bored, This is boring, you're boring" or everyones favorite " My wookiee is hairy"
I'm so bored. I need 15 bucks.
/pep TV!

**UPDATED By Astrus: 6/14/05**
Hey guys wanted to let everyone know about the city and what’s in store for the future. The Second Pic is our original Layout.
The First is our Updated layout, 2 weeks after the starting of our city, this shows the near future.
-----------------------------------------
The Pink Buildings represent Buildings that will be placed in the near future. The Yellow Diameter is the full Diameter of our city @ METROPOLIS level. As you can see we have held up to our original plan fairly well even due to hills and such.
---------------------------------
The above is a layout of what the city will probably (but not definitely) look like. Factories will go behind the houses to the East of the City Hall. Large Homes will go behind the Guild Hall to the North. Just wanted everyone to get a updated look at what we are planning.
The main goal for the City is to:
1. Be a safe Haven/Home for our guild.
2. Stay cost efficient.
3. Provide residents w/ a means to reach their in game goals
4. Stay cost efficient.
5. Stay cost efficient.
Ya I know..."why so many 'stay cost efficient’s", you say. ...The avg weekly maintenance for most Cities that aren’t smart w/ what they offer their residents is 500000 credits.... A WEEK.
The last thing we want is to have taxes in our city dwindling away at our banks or put the burden of the City totally on the Mayor.
Now there is a way to come up w/ that kind of cash. What we would need to do is run 9k missions with a group of 8 members. Missions pay each person in the group the full amount of the mission payout. 8members x 9000credits(one mission) = 72000credits, so if a group of 8 members took 2 missions each and the group did all 16 of the missions on a mission run, that would amount to 1152000 credits, per mission run (144000 per member).
My mission is to acquire 52 weeks worth of maintenance for our city. Assuming that 500k a week would be regular maintenance for us, to acquire the 26million credits needed to achieve this goal we would need to only do about 26 mission runs, with the 8 ppl described above.
Not only would that give us enough to not have to worry about city maintenance...but it would also give us extra money to help pay for city items such and banks and gardens and what not but it would be AN AWESOME REASON for the guild to come together and hunt!!
...Another way to keep the City cost efficient is to only have the amenities that we truly need. I see so many cities w/ trainers that the residents never use. "Can someone train me in (insert combat profession here)?!?"....No one likes paying a NPC trainer to train them and as a mayor I don’t want to pay for a trainer that’s going to ask you to pay him/her doubly. If there is a strong guild desire to have certain trainers I will definitely add them though.
Just so you guys know what the Weekly costs are in a city here is some info for you. Besides the Planet Registration, Specialization, and City hall costs, which are determined on the rank/specialization of the city, the bolded costs are a PER PLACEMENT cost. So if we have 5 banks that would be a cost of 5x1500credits a week.

Most Mayors tend to try to do things themselves and they are barely able to scrounge up the maintenance needed to keep their city up per week. SancTuarY knows better than that. We will work together to help our city grow and, in a couple days, save up a YEAR's worth of city maintenance, and in the process have mass fun working together.
The key to cost efficiency is TEAMWORK! If we want more from our City, we are going to have to put for the effort! And this guild is the perfect guild to do that.
If you have any comments or questions post here or send myself, veto, shawkorr, sadasira or kiari a gmail. Or you can send me a forum PM.
Thanks for taking out the time to read this and help us out!

Choose whether or not we will have Faction Bases in our City.
Imperial Bases are great for faction grinding!
Rebel Bases are great for changing Positions in the GCW and getting help from NPC Rebels during grinding! :D

One thing I'd like us to all realize is that w/ the success of SancTuarY over the last couple months there have been a few situations where we have been wrongfully slandered by SOME of the Wanderhome community. (about 1%)
ITS NOT A PROBLEM at the moment lol....but what i want everyone to realize is that with MORE success comes MORE problems. Even if the # is still low, the problems WILL increase.
It could be jealousy or any number of things, but what we as members need to be ok w/ is SUCCESS!
We deserve to be the best guild on the server, we deserve to have a Guild only City. We deserve to have a group of AWESOME ppl around us and we deserve to keep growing and keep becoming the greatest Guild in SWG.
Our Guidelines insure that our members are able to play the game SOE gives us, and still stay cordial w/ our peers and members.
Should we look down on others who choose not to be in OUR group? Of course not. But if someone chooses to NOT like you because you are successful or in a successful guild...well thats just silly, and im sure most of you guys would agree.
SancTuarY has recruited alot of AWESOME ppl....some of the ppl recruited did not turn out so great hehe. But our main purpose is to keep our members in a guild that is drama Free, mature and respectful.
So if you see someone removed from the guild...rest assured that SancTuarY Admins talked about it before hand, and that it was a decision based on NOT ONE, but a group of ppl that are SERIOUS about keeping a peaceful guild for its members to log into when they choose to play SWG.
Was just thinking about this a little bit and wanted to say something about it hehe.
